FAQ's

What should I expect in a Jazzercise class?

Each class is approximately 60 min. and incorporates a warm-up, aerobic segment, strength training and a final cool down. We use a variety of music along with choreographed routines combining jazz dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga, kickboxing, and more to create a truly effective workout. Please take a moment to visit our "Learn The Moves" section at jazzercise.com to view video of aerobic movements as well as how to properly use hand-held weights and tubes.

You will be able to practice Jazzercise dance moves right on your computer via video clips. This will build confidence and will allow you to get more from your workout.

Our goal is for you to have a good time while improving your health and fitness. We are always available before class to work with you one on one too!

Do I need weights or tubes?

Weights/tubes are optional for new customers. We recommend you familiarize yourself with the basic exercises and techniques before using light (3-5 lb.) weights or a resistance band.

May I bring drinks and food to a class?

We recommend Jazzercisers bring a non-breakable water bottle with a lid to class. Prevent accidents and spillage by keeping drinks out of the way of other Jazzercisers. No food or gum, please.

How often should I exercise?

If you are new to exercise, begin with 2-3 classes a week and gradually add classes. To increase your fitness level, work out 4-5 times per week.

Do I need special clothes or equipment?

Any loose, comfortable clothing that allows for sweat evaporation is ideal. Most people wear bike shorts or jazz pants and a bra top or T-shirt. Bring along a beach towel or exercise mat for the floor work. Good, rubber-soled aerobic shoes are recommended.
